Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
IS this an attempt to make all MacBook Pro users switch to Chrome? I don't want to and should have a choice to keep my preferred settings.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Since today, when I try to compose an email it will let me type in both the subject and body fields (as normal) but not in the 'To' field to enter the recipient's email address.
I click on the 'To' bit and nothing happens. I hover the cursor over it and try to type - nothing happens. I'm blocked out from entering any email addresses.
It means I cannot send any new emails from my account via my desktop. Seems to be just fine from my phone.
It's bizarre and frustrating and I can't find anything about it online.
Desktop is an older iMac using Safari. Never had a problem before.

Also, there is no reason that MacBook Pro users have to be forced to switch to Chrome OR be forced to use valuable time to scroll through a long contact list to locate an email address..
I want to be able to start typing an email address in the TO field and have it pop up almost immediately like it used to,
Lol.. use another browser because microsoft sucks..
Same issue here. It just started in the last week or so, which makes me think something has changed in the software. I far prefer Safari, so switching to Firefox or Chrome is not a satisfactory work-around. Yes, I can insert the address if I open in a new window, but why does Microsoft make it necessary to add an additional step just to send a simple email? Not efficient for work flow.
Thanks. But, I too do not want to have to do an additional step.
Also, if I answer to an email that comes in to me, there is no difference, I read the email, hit reply, write my answer and send. So why, I wonder, did sending a message change.
Thanks again.
