Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
This DOES work. It's odd to have to do this, but at least it's a viable workaround. Many thanks!
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Since today, when I try to compose an email it will let me type in both the subject and body fields (as normal) but not in the 'To' field to enter the recipient's email address.
I click on the 'To' bit and nothing happens. I hover the cursor over it and try to type - nothing happens. I'm blocked out from entering any email addresses.
It means I cannot send any new emails from my account via my desktop. Seems to be just fine from my phone.
It's bizarre and frustrating and I can't find anything about it online.
Desktop is an older iMac using Safari. Never had a problem before.

A client of mine is having this problem and I noticed she's still on BigSur, meaning she's using Safari 15 from 2021.
I'll soon know whether upgrading the OS and Safari will resolve this but until then, check if your Safari is outdated.
It's probably not strictly a bug but rather a change that requires a more current browser version, and since you cannot upgrade Safari past macOS itself, that's why this problem occurs. I'll report back after the upgrade is done.
My mac is doing the same thing. None of the workarounds solve the issue. The only way that I've been able to do is put names in the CC area. I'm also able to enter recipient information into outlook on Chrome. Weird!.
