I recently downloaded the new Mac Ventura OS. Now my Outlook won't search email folders for the two weeks since I downloaded the OS. I deleted all the Office 365 files then downloaded a new batch. Problem persists. Unfortunately, I can't find advice specific to the Ventura OS.

This Error is normal if using the Method used in first Post.

    After you have entered:

    sudo mdutil -a -i on

    Restart

    First let indexing complete:

Checking Indexing Status open Spotlight ( cmd + space ) type indexing:

    Then:

There is another issue we can fix when have applied this Method.

As i do not really know if the indexing status of the /System/Volumes/Preboot is important it is indexed when having Ventura installed originally.

    To fix that Issue:

Open Finder and go to Applications - Utilities - Terminal and type the following commands (Press Enter after typing command).sudo mdutil -X /System/Volumes/PrebootNote: When prompted for a password, please type the Mac user password. This would be invisible. Please type the same and hit enter.Once done, restart the mac computer.

    Control with:

    sudo mdutil -sa

this solution is not working for me.

    /System/Volumes/Preboot:

    Error: invalid operation.

    Error: unknown indexing state.

    MacBook Pro

    Apple M2 Max

    macOS Ventura 13.2.1

    Outlook for Mac 16.71.2

I upgraded Outlook regretfully hoping it would solve the issue. Please advise solution as without search it is useless to me.

    thanks in advance
