Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
As I am naturally impatient, and as I have a zillion emails, I typed in to Terminal:
sudo mdutil -X /System/Volumes/Preboot and hit Enter
I then restarted my MacBook Air and typed in:
sudo mdutil -sa Enter
which told me that indexing was enabled.
I restated again and could see (Spotlight icon command + space, then typing indexing:) that indexing was underway. After about an hour, I got my outlook search facility back at last.
Strange this as not everyone is affected in the same way. At the same time as downloading Ventura 13.2.1 last night, I did the same on an identical MacBook Air, the outlook search facility on which was not affected. Maybe that's because that was an upgrade from Ventura 13.1 to Ventura 13.2.1, whereas the machine that was screwed up by last night's download, was from Monterey to Ventura 13.2.1.
