Outlook Calendar changes not showing up in Google Calendar

Hello there!

I have Outlook email and Calendar (and I'm not sure what else) through work. I shared my main Outlook Calendar to my personal Google Calendar account by importing the Outlook .ICS URL (found in Outlook.com > Settings > Calendar > Shared Calendars) into GC. All events show up usually, but this past week I haven't seen event changes showing up in GC, even more than 24 hours after the changed event passed. I can't find any way to manually force a sync/update.

What can be done to ensure event changes to my Outlook Calendar show up in my Google Calendar? This is important for me because I have a long-established system of meeting reminders based around my Google Calendar, and whether OC supports that setup or not it would be too much work to redo it all for this 1 calendar.

    I layed it out in detail in a post dated March 19 (it will be "Aceman57).

    But I think the suggestion to use Outlook <> Google Calendar Sync mentioned above by Jeffrey Edison is a better option. You get a lot more control over what you want to sync.

    I will point out however, that if you decide to use a different Gmail calendar rather than your main calendar the script is still a good idea to CREATE the calendar you want to use because it places it under "My Calendars" in Google. IOS device only display the calendars under My Calendars so if you wanted to be able to see that calendar on an IOS device you'd need to create that calendar with the script. After its created (i.e., you see the calendar under "My Calendars", you should then delete the script to stop it from syncing

    Actually I just checked it out that's a great solution to this problem. However, I would add that the Google script should still be done INITIALLY then it can be deleted since the script actually creates a calendar under "My calendar". So if you wanted to create a separate "Outlook" calendar the only way to do it (at least that I can find) is to use the "+" sign under "other calendars" and add it there. The problem is it doesn't show up as an option under IOS devices which is a problem if you want to see that calendar on those devices.

    That seems to be the beauty of it: you can chose. One way sync O>GC or GC>O or two way sync, and which Calendars so if you want everything in a single one -- go for it.

    I'm syncing O to GC it a GC "work calendar" to keep things separate from my personal calendar.

    It's been doing exactly want I want, so far. Of course, it runs locally so only works while my computer is on. If I add something to my Outlook Calendar from my phone, it's not synced to GC if my computer is off (sleep mode), but I can live with that limitation (I've been living with having to unpublish and republish to get updates for months now).

    How does that work? Does it sync the calendars WITHOUT adding each to the other? In other words do you have to add the Google calendar to Outlook and the Outlook calendar to Google? Or does it "sync" to each calendar without adding them? If it does then that's a great solution.
