Outlook Calendar changes not showing up in Google Calendar

Hello there!

I have Outlook email and Calendar (and I'm not sure what else) through work. I shared my main Outlook Calendar to my personal Google Calendar account by importing the Outlook .ICS URL (found in Outlook.com > Settings > Calendar > Shared Calendars) into GC. All events show up usually, but this past week I haven't seen event changes showing up in GC, even more than 24 hours after the changed event passed. I can't find any way to manually force a sync/update.

What can be done to ensure event changes to my Outlook Calendar show up in my Google Calendar? This is important for me because I have a long-established system of meeting reminders based around my Google Calendar, and whether OC supports that setup or not it would be too much work to redo it all for this 1 calendar.

    Use the script--it's easy if you follow the instructions I gave above and you won't get "random" syncing. From all the comments I've read, I note that people's Google calendar randomly stops syncing. AND it has another advantage--it puts your calendar under the "My Calendars" section on your Google Calendar rather than "other calendars." This is important for IOS users because you can then see that calendar if you add your Gmail to the accounts in your IOS device (i.e., like an iPhone).

    But it may have other significance in regard to permissions for the calendar since the calendars under "My Calendars" you can manager whereas you can't with calendars under "other calendars". I'm not sure that has any significance since there isn't a two-way sync. That is, I can add things to the "Outlook" calendar that's now synced in my Google calendar but they don't sync back of course. But you might have some reason to want to add items to that calendar and use that rather than adding to your main Google calendar. Or you may want to "share" that calendar with your additional entries on it--sort of like a hybrid work calendar if you will where you have entries on there you don't want others to see on the MS Outlook calendar.

    I don't know how to use the script, but my calendar seems to have started syncing on its own, though sort of randomly.

    I strongly suspect this is a Microsoft problem based on the following:

    1. I can view my Outlook calendar (updates from MS Office Outlook) in Outlook 365
    2. I have published free/busy information from my Outlook 365 calendar
    3. I have tried to visit the HTML version of the Calendar and after the screen flashes numerous times, I get an X-Redir-Error

    For me, that seems to indicate issues at Microsoft's Calendar sharing of ICS/HTML information, if the (HTML) information cannot even be viewed.
