Hi Peter Nelson (peter.nelson),

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

Katherine

Me too. My current workaround is to list my group's emails in an Excel spreadsheet and remove the hyperlinks. When I want to send a group message, I copy the entire list (they are in a column) and paste into the "To" field. It works fine as a "I shouldn't need to do this" workaround. Grrrr Microsoft. So petty on their part. If I didn't need Outlook for work I'd say Sayonara in a NY minute.

Contact List now works in New Outlook for MAC!

For over a year, I have been complaining about New Outlook for MAC's lack of support for Contact Lists. Like many users, I rolled back to Legacy Outlook so I could continue to use Contact Lists.

About a week ago, I decided to try New Outlook for MAC again. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Contact Lists now work. I am using Microsoft Outlook for Mac Version 16.82 (24013120). The copyright date is 2024, so this version must have been released recently.

So that is great - but can you drag and drop files into an email? That seemed to be deleted in version 16.79. Maybe they put it back. I am sure that user side rules is probably no more, but I can always hope.
