Contact list grayed out in Outlook for Mac

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

When will I be able to use the Contact List regarding Outlook for Mac? The above message was a year ago and I would think there would be some news with this.. I have the latest version of Outlook: 16.75.2 and Contact List feature is still greyed.

So is any filtering of incoming emails. This is all designed to move everyone over to 365 subscriptions. There have been zip apparent changes to Outlook since the latest major release.

Actually, I think it's to eventually force everyone onto Windows. Don't know if it's still true, but quite a few years ago there were considerably fewer animation effects available in Powerpoint for the Mac compared to the Windows version. BTW I have a 365 subscription -- and we are pretty much an Apple shop. Got vmWare Fusion and Win11 on an older Macbook for when I have to use them.

At this point, I think we should assume there will never be a contacts list for Outlook for Mac. Gonna suggest to Apple that they might provide a bridge to the Mac (and iOS) contacts list.
