Contact list grayed out in Outlook for Mac

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

It's mid July of 2023, more than a year after this question was answered, and still the "Create Contact List" option is greyed out. Can anyone advise when we can all expect to see this feature re-activated and available? It's such a key time saver to be able to create, edit and update lists.

This is ridiculous. I'm on this page because today my Outlook decided to update itself automatically after months of me telling it not to. Now this feature that I use heavily is apparently gone. This is literally why I didn't want to update, but I never thought it would affect such a basic and fundamental function. It's outright embarrassing that you did not have this implemented in an updated version at launch, much less over a year after this question was brought up.

I am of the opinion that MS does not even bother to read all these complaints or suggestions. We get no feedback directly from them.

You are quite right, this is embarrasing - yet they don't give...
