Hi Peter Nelson (peter.nelson),

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

Katherine

    @Jack Scott1

    Are you using Outlook 16.84? It is in the Beta Channel. Contact Lists work in that version.

    This is for Outlook for my wife's MAC - running the latest version of Office 365 / Outlook. Are there plans to allow for Contact Lists in Outlook (again - I used to be long-time user myself and found the lists very helpful). When will this return as a feature for the Outlook Mac (365) edition?

    I would like to know if drag-and-drop files and also drag-and-drop addresses now work again. For some reason these were dropped in version 16.79 and later perhaps until now? I assume that the client-side rules (filters) have been deleted as I heard this was not going to be included in future versions.

    The most recent publicly available version of Outlook for Mac is 16.82.1 (24021813). But I subscribed to Microsoft Office Insider so I am using version 16.84. Contact Groups work in 16.84.

    Office Insider allows you to test future versions of Office applications. You’ll get preview builds for the latest features, security updates, and performance fixes that are released before anyone else who are on the older versions of Office.
