Contact list grayed out in Outlook for Mac

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Correct, I'm now using the "old" interface. By happy circumstance, I actually prefer the old interface so this works for me.

Thanks for sharing Mark.

If I understand your steps correct, you are now left in using the "old" Outlook interface, correct? That's what i ended up having to do to be able to have Contact Lists to use.

I'm still hoping for being able to use Contact Lists with the new Outlook user interface.

Hello All,

I was able to solve this by doing the following:

1: In Outlook-Preferences I unchecked the "New Outlook" option. This required a close and restart of outlook.

2: After Outlook had restarted I went into Outlook-Preferences-PersonalSettings-General, and in there I then had the option under "Sidebar" to uncheck "Hide On My Computer folders".

After these two steps I am now able to create a "New Contact List". I hope this helps.
