Hi Peter Nelson (peter.nelson),

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

Katherine

This is pretty ridiculous that MS has decided to remove a feature in the newer version. Not to mention that the current version has been out for a year. MS, it's pretty clear that you do things like this only because it's cheap (don't want to pay developers to fix it) and you know you can get away with it.

I'm sure I am not the only one who would not use this software unless I had to for work.

**** like this is why Apple will always be better than Microsoft. I just want to create a contact list and I have to spend hours in user forums trying to find "the trick" for one of the simplest procedures to a mail platform there is. And then I see in March 2022 its a feature YOU HAVEN'T EVEN ADDED YET??????

    WORKAROUND !!

I have the same problem in the "New Outlook" as everyone else.... so:

    1. Create a New Message
    2. Populate the To: with all of the contacts you want on your list
    3. File>>Save as Template (Name your template the name of your contact list)

Next time you want to send to that list:

    1. File>>New>>Email from Template (choose your template)
    2. Voila
    3. You're welcome. 😎

    Thank you so much!

I don’t have that option under the Outlook preferences “New Outlook option”. I have the newest Outlook for Mac. Ugh….
