Contact list grayed out in Outlook for Mac

(This article says that you "just have to" enable "Hide on my computer folders" but I do not have that options in Preferences > General) How do I enable Contact List this? Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

I do not have this option to "uncheck" New Outlook. Does anyone else have any ideas? Do you think, I can import a CVS file? I can create a contact list, but I cant share the contact list or doing anything with it. Thoughts?

Hi Katherine,

This was posted almost a full year ago, and several people have requested an update. Please respond to let us know when this feature will be available. Contact lists are a basic functionality of an email platform, so I would expect this to be on the top of the list of improvements needed.

Hey!

I was super pumped to try this. However, when I click "new" there is no option for "email from template." Has anyone found this to be the case for them as well?

This is incredibly frustrating that we still have no answers about when Microsoft will solve this contact list problem.
