Hi Peter Nelson (peter.nelson),

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

Katherine

    Thanks a lot Mark, this totally works (I don't know why). And yes it's 2024 June now.

    For this to work in Office 365's Outlook, one should choose the "Legacy Outlook" option under "Outlook", and uncheck "Hide on my computer folders" under "Outlook/Settings../General".

    Hi fellow problem solvers, (since MS doesn't do nothing...)

    Had the same issue on a user's MACos Machine.

    After some time trying to figure out wth is going on and testing stuff, the option happened to appear again for the user in the new Outlook.

    Last steps were:

    1. revert to old - "help" > "revert";
    2. go back to new version - top right on window, on "legacy", click for "off".

    It should now have the new version again and contact list option suddenly appeared :| ... why? I have no idea unfortunately. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Hope it works at least for some of you.

    Have a nice day and gl out there.

    cheers. 👍

    The feature is in the current version of Outlook for Mac that I have on my mac. I have Version 16.84.2 (24042814). I think it was in an earlier release too, just don't remember the version. I don't know if I'm even on the latest version available now. Some people have reported that they weren't able to obtain the latest version and I couldn't either at first. Then one day I got a message to update, did so and the feature was there.
