Contact list grayed out in Outlook for Mac

I was forced to move to the new Outlook a few weeks ago (now using Outlook for Mac 16.73.2 (23052700). With Contacts List greyed out Microsoft has now blown away my contact lists which I use to make my life easier to send emails out to my tenants who live at my properties. This is a serious inconvenience. I cannot understand what Microsoft was thinking by forcing people to move to the new look for Outlook (which apparently I cannot undo) when there are features of the software that are not even available yet that some may depend upon. I find this the ultimate in hubris (apparently Microsoft thinks that they know what's better for me than I do!). To say that I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with Microsoft's behavior in this is an understatement. *I* know what's best for me in terms of the interface. I really need contact lists as my tenants have a wide variety of emails and I cannot add them to a distribution list in my Exchange environment. Did Microsoft NOT consider the inconvenience that they would cause their customers (some of whom, like me, have been using Microsoft products for MANY years) when they made this horrendous decision. I am just stunned at the level of arrogance.

Has this been updated? Contact List is still greyed out in my Outlook for Mac.

This is a necessity, not some silly add on.

When are we going to see the contact list in Outlook Mac? You said to be patient a year ago. This is not some new, interesting feature that customers tell you they want. This is basic fundamental email functionality that should have been designed into your software from day 1. However, like everything Microsoft, basic functionality is considered nice to have some day, while half-baked, buggy, poorly functioning software being pushed out to the revenue stream is the number 1 priority.
