Hi Peter Nelson (peter.nelson),

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

Katherine

I've started using the Email Templates option and just having a bunch of template files I load up when I need to do mailings to a lot of the same people at once.

It's not ideal, but it's the only workaround that I could find that speeds up my workflow a little bit.

Yes, it is shameful Microsoft hasn't restored contact lists and doesn't appear interested in doing so.

It is, and will continue to be until either, we switch to Microsoft Windows, or they bring out a new version of Microsoft Outlook for Apple Macintosh users…. Then and only then will they add the feature to the version we are currently using.
