Can't scroll contacts

  • I can't scroll contacts in https://outlook.live.com/people/0/ in Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Opera.
  • I get a visible list of about 12-14 A's but no more contacts than that, and no scroll bar.
  • Can't scroll with mouse pad or mouse.
  • I can click the 'A' to get the alphabet, but when I select another letter, I get the first contact's details for that letter, and the 'All contacts' list disappears. Clicking 'All contacts' does not bring back the list. The only way back to the original, partial list, is to select something other than 'All contacts' on the left pane, then try 'All contacts' again. This brings back the partial list of A's.

Update

    Windows 7 PC

    Chrome 106.0.5249.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Spoke too soon ... but interesting new behaviour / development ?

When I first noticed this issue back on 14/10/22 reported ...

the Scroll Bar didn’t appear when opening Contacts in a new Tab (Right Click) but would be present if you switched from Mail > Contacts / People within the same OpenTab

but guess what ... now as at 08:15 BST - 07:15 GMT/UTC its completely the opposite ie ...

The Scroll Bar now doesn't appear when opening Contacts after switching from Mail > Contacts within the same Open Tab but if you Open Contacts in a new Tab (ie Right Click) the Scroll Bar is present and functions normally with the screen populating all the Contacts.

What on earth is going on ? ... Its about time MS published something official about this to stop everyone wasting their time !

Today I had no scroll at first but a refresh does give scrolling capability. Not a very handy fix but better.

My outlook contact list will not scroll up and down when using my mouse and there is no scroll bar I could use to move the contact list up and down with the cursor. How do I solve this issue? Thanks. Brian Kanely, ******@outlook.com, 352-262-3580.

I am afraid that is still the 'Thousand Dollar Question' that we are all waiting for MS to answer and hopefully resolve.

Many had hoped across the various Posts associated with this issue from around the world, that MS were getting this sorted but anecdotal reports suggest that our hopes may have been a little premature, where the return of the Scroll bar was either short lived, not stable or varied acording to which Browser you are using.

The latest thoughts seem to be that you may be able temporarily work around the Issue by refreshing the Contacts / People page using CONTROL (CTRL) F5 since you will probably find that using the Cursor down only displays a limited number of Contacts (eg only around the top 20 of my 165 Contacts) as these have not been populated on the screen beyond the 20th or so entry. However they are still there - you just can't see them and can in most instances be called up and viewed individually by using the Search Field.

Finally be careful if editing a Contact as the details displayed don't always update when amending Contacts and seem to only display the revised / updated content by closing & reopening the OWA or using CTRL F5 to Refresh before re-searching to view the amended Contact.
