"Message failed to send" Red Error box in Outlook 365 for Mac

Hi everyone - has anyone had issues with sending emails using Outlook 365 for Macs? Especially a red error box that appears at the bottom (attached) and says "Message failed to send Open" The email is then stuck in drafts with the option to continue editing but it is simply frozen in drafts and the only way is to delete and try again. Alternatively, you can go to the webmail version of outlook, find the drafts folder and send from there. This has been happening on/off for several weeks now, no pattern, just happens occasionally.

This version of Outlook 365 is absolutely **** with so many issues

This problem is infuriating and I agree with the sentiment and accompanying comments.

I finally got one of these messages to send by logging into Office365 online, going to the drafts folder, and sending it from there.

If I could figure that out, then I don't know why someone getting paid by Microsoft can't do it and suggest it to people.

Where are we at with this fix? Lots of users wasting lots of extremely precious time futzing with Microsoft's blatant contempt for its users. Hire more developers. Fix. It. Now.

Currently the behaviour changed for me.

The mails don't go in the Outbox and cannot be edited but are now saved as drafts so I can edit them and try to send again.

Now when I go into drafts, click send again, it fails the 2nd time. Then a third time etc. pp. At some point though the mail is being sent. It's between the first or sometimes the 20th try but eventually it's being sent. I just can't figure out what's holding it back, maybe a connection issue?!

This and the dropping attachments issue is COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE guys. Two absolutely rudimentary issues going on for months now.

It's making me appear unresponsive to client and company emails.

    FIX.

    IT.
