"Message failed to send" Red Error box in Outlook 365 for Mac

Hi everyone - has anyone had issues with sending emails using Outlook 365 for Macs? Especially a red error box that appears at the bottom (attached) and says "Message failed to send Open" The email is then stuck in drafts with the option to continue editing but it is simply frozen in drafts and the only way is to delete and try again. Alternatively, you can go to the webmail version of outlook, find the drafts folder and send from there. This has been happening on/off for several weeks now, no pattern, just happens occasionally.

This version of Outlook 365 is absolutely **** with so many issues

I'm having the same problem! I thought it was only when I was working remotely - maybe something to do with the server. But it's happening in office today. So frustrating! Is there a fix???? Anyone????

We also have been getting this issue. We've noticed that it happens a lot when there is a long email thread. Does anyone know if there is a limit on the amount of emails or size of an email thread?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi David, thanks for the update. I am using the version of Outlook you mention, 16.86 with Sonoma 14.5 and unfortunately my problem seems to be happening more frequently (strangely since I posted on this forum!) I'm glad to hear it resolved for you.
