How Can I Import a Calendar in the New Outlook for Windows (Business)?

I need to share a calendar over Outlook with a lot of individuals. In the old Outlook, you used to be able to import the calendar.

Now, there is an error message and it won't let you import a calendar, as shown below:

Some individuals might have the old Outlook, some might have the new version, but it is not reasonable to request that everyone switch back to the old version of Outlook just to download a calendar.

Is there a new way to import calendars in the new Outlook for Windows (Business)? We have Microsoft 365, FYI.

New Outlook does not have a File tab. If you want to import a calendar ics file, do it from the calendar module.

    Moderator note: The response below applies only to classic Outlook, not new Outlook.

    You can import a calendar in the new Outlook for Windows by following these steps:

    • In Outlook, select File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
    • In Import and Export Wizard box, select Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs) ,and then Next.
    • Select the calendar file from your PC and select OK.
    • Select Open as New. The items are automatically imported into your calendar.

    Correct, the other person's answer does not apply to the new Outlook.

    The new Outlook is a work in progress and is missing some features. It's Outlook on the web in an app frame.

    How are you trying to add the calendar? can you add it from Outlook on the web?

    Add Calendar > Upload from file should work to import. (It did here).
