How Can I Import a Calendar in the New Outlook for Windows (Business)?

I need to share a calendar over Outlook with a lot of individuals. In the old Outlook, you used to be able to import the calendar.

Now, there is an error message and it won't let you import a calendar, as shown below:

Some individuals might have the old Outlook, some might have the new version, but it is not reasonable to request that everyone switch back to the old version of Outlook just to download a calendar.

Is there a new way to import calendars in the new Outlook for Windows (Business)? We have Microsoft 365, FYI.

New Outlook does not have a File tab. If you want to import a calendar ics file, do it from the calendar module.

    Download the ICS file to your computer. Right click file and select open with Outlook (new).

    This opens an import window where you can select which calendar you want to import the event into.

    I thought this was going to work but when I reach the import window the drop down to choose the calendar to import into doesn't work. It says "select a calendar" but doesn't do anything.

    I exported my old calendar from Outlook using the following steps

    File > Open & Export > Import/Export > Export to a File > Outlook Data File (.pst) > Calendar > Replace Duplicates with items exported > Take note of the file location > Created a Password

    Then I imported to Outlook (New) by going to the Calendar > Add a Calendar > Upload from File > Used same file pathway > and Import. Only to find out that the Calendar itself was too large and I wasted my time.

    To combat this I went to Calendar > Add a Calendar > Add from directory > Selected my Account in Please select an Account to search from > then manually typed my own email address in the "Select a person, group, or resource from your organization's directory to view the assocaited calendar > clicked Add and voila. :)
