How can i set up a delay on all emails in New Outlook

I have recently switched to the New Outlook format and I'm trying to reestablish a 3 min delay on all emails I send.

The Rules tab does not allow for the same settings to be establish as available in classic format.

Is there a way to establish a delay in the new app?

    @De Paul -- It's been two years! Is the new outlook still considered "in Preview... under development"?****How much longer should we "wait for future updates," like this one that has been mentioned in many different community forums as a barrier for folks to switch to the new Outlook?

    I agree, it seems like they just want us to keep using old outlook for the foreseeable future, I can't think of any other reason why such features have been omitted. They at least brought back a couple others I was missing, but delay send all mails is one that saved butts on the daily in offices! Back to old outlook I go...

    Yes - also agree. Useless without this safety net. I also noted spellcheck didn't come up when i hit send, so i sent it knowingly with some errors i was expecting to correct!

    I think this may be what you are looking for? It's not perfect, but may be a work around.

    Email stays in Outbox until manually send or receive - Outlook | Microsoft Learn

    This thread has the opposite problem, but the problem is the solution to your problem. Seems like all you have to do is uncheck "Send immediately when connected". It doesn't set up the automatic delay, but at least will delay all emails so that you can then have time to decide what to do with them until later. You can then also change your send/receive settings to "Schedule and automatic send/receive every ___" which doesn't seem to have the two hour limitation.

    Thank you for sharing this. I was so excited I promptly went into new outlook to try to find this setting and...... it doesn't exist! It only exists in classic outlook. Such a shame. However, I have a suggestion for the many followers of this question. When I reverted back to classic outlook I was asked why I was leaving. I wonder if we all went into new outlook, reverted to classic and completed the feedback regarding this issue, Microsoft would pay attention then? Worth a try!

    Hi De Paul,

    Has there been any update on this. I am having the same issue where I can not add a delay to my sent emails in the new outlook.

    I add a 1 minute delay to every sent email, and often revert back to my outbox to catch my mistakes.
