Hello everyone,
I am trying the new Outlook this week and noticed that the shortcut options CTRL + SHIFT + 1 to 4 are no longer available. The only options shown are from 5 to 9. This is not feasible for me since I use the ctrl + shift + 1 to 3 options to move emails using only one hand.
Does anyone know why Microsoft removed the other shortcut options or if this change is going to be permanent?

Why remove this function? It's almost impossible to reach the number 5 with your fingers. Also, bring back 1-4. This really hinders productivity and is very annoying. Especially since the keys are not used for anything else, so what's the problem?
Over a year and still Microsoft hasn't added back in the full 9 shortcuts to your software. How hard would that be to have a programmer that works on that part of the software restore all of the options? Of course then there is the issue of Microsoft telling the community you only need five options get used to it. You do know that only a very small percentage of users take the time to post here because what we post does not get fixed. Our money is acceptable but what are needs are for the money we pay doesn't matter.
Once again Microsoft do better.
I think it would be also helpful if there were the ability to have more than 9 quick steps. Why when Microsoft comes out with a new software do you have to kill features that are helpful. In regard to the missing quick steps that is an issue with your quality control people.

Agreed, this is a non-starter for me and I immediately switched back. This one seems like a silly change and easy to fix.
Why Why Why has Shift + Delete been removed from Outlook in the last upgrade. This is madness and flies in the face of true interoperability - This has been a standard editing control for years / decades and is so far superior than having to use Crtl - X - But then I can still use Ctrl+ Insert or will I next be forced to use the horrid Ctrl+V - More key strokes and slower for keyboard navigating when mass editing. Plus this a universal key set / function in all other packages I use - as well as other email systems.
Is it a oversight or has some newbie programmer that has not lived through and experienced all the versions of Windows and Office and all the other non Microsoft software packages and possibly only knows Ctrl+X decided to remove it.
As said by another this is hardwired into my brain and I regularly use Shift + Delete and then Shift+Insert to place elsewhere as it allows me to use both hands (us 2 finger typists) and not twist fingers on on hand. Better Human Factors and faster.
Please bring Shift+Delete function back - I find Outlook bad enough this has made it a whole lot worse.
After all it works here so why not in 'Outlook' - I hope to a deity this does not happen in Excel as it will be a nightmare mass editing data ****
