Outlook Calendar on Mac Sync Issues with Apple calendar app

I have been having issues with syncing events between my Outlook calendar on Mac and my Apple calendar application (on my MacBook Pro) for the last couple of months. Before then, the syncing worked like a charm.

I've had many calls with the Apple support team and they got it working every single time but it stops syncing again after a few hours or at most a day.

Do you have any tips on what I may need to do to resolve this issue from the Outlook side of things?

An interesting fact is that my iPhone and my Outlook calendars are syncing perfectly fine. It's just the connection between my MacBook Pro and Outlook that doesn't work

I would so very much appreciate your insights and guidance.

Thank you!

    Christine,

MarktheMoment says it perfectly. It works until it doesn't. And you don't know when. Then the consequences (of missing an appointment, event or meeting) can be significant and this should be completely unacceptable to today's Microsoft, who's success hinges on its ability to meet the needs of organizations.

Are you sure this will not work for you? I am an Admin at a college and it works for us, the problem does come back, however, it works temporarily.

I don't want my users in terminal, so I have them do the following:

With the Apple Calendar app open, open Activity Monitor, (make sure All Processes are listed under the view menu) search for CalendarAgent, select it and force quit (click the stop sign in the menu bar), in the pop up window, click force quit.

Quit Activity Monitor and the Calendar app, then open the Calendar app, wait a few and it should repopulate shortly.

I was hoping against hope that Ventura’s release would result in a fix. No such luck!

this seemed to work for me (for now), found on https://www.nucleustechnologies.com/blog/fixed-outlook-for-mac-not-syncing-with-exchange-server/:

    1. Restart the Sync Services Agent Restarting the Sync Services Agent is one of the best ways to fix the Outlook for Mac not syncing with the Exchange Server issue. Follow the steps below to get through this process easily.
      1. Shut down Outlook for Mac.
      2. Now go to Applications and tap on Utilities.
      3. Next, select the option Activity Monitor.
      4. Go to the tab Process Name & tap on Sync Services Agent.
      5. Choose the process and tap on the Quit option.
      6. Lastly, exit the Activity Monitor & access your Outlook for Mac application once again to check whether this issue is fixed or not.

This solution works for me, but from what I've read it will stop syncing again after a few hours or days. This is a problem that seems to have been ongoing for many months. I just switched from Google to O365 and never had problems with Google calendar or Apple calendar, but am seeing this issue immediately with O365 calendar. Is this an MS bug or an Apple bug? Has anyone reported the issue formally to either?
