An error message appears in Ms. Outlook (We cannot render a new actionable message right now)

Hi all, today I got an error message when opening Ms. Outlook with the following error message (We cannot render a new actionable message right now. Please close an existing one in Microsoft Outlook and retry) As for what I have done =

*Update office version

*Re-install O365

but neither of those things solved the problem, really appreciate if anyone in this forum can give more advice.

(no problem sending messages via OWA)

    This has started happening to me when I shut down the computer on both my work computer (Windows 11) and my personal computer (Windows 10). It first started on the work computer in beginning of august and a little later on my personal computer. It certainly smells a lot like an update of some sort may have caused this.

    It happens when I shut down the computer without manually closing Outlook first. If I manually close Outlook then no problem. But if I shut down, it will complain that Outlook is preventing the computer from shutting down. When I click cancel to go back and see, I see this specific problem and messagebox.

    This is also my experience. I have even rebuilt my machine in the last week (for an unrelated issue) and it still recurs. This is clearly a software fault in Outlook itself.

    As with the others, I'm not explicitly using any 'Actionable Message' content. I may have opened and email with it, but definitely no large quantity. It seems to occur even if I do no specific email operations.

    Hi all,

    The Outlook Team released a service change that is supposed to help address this issue. I see the change is now at 100% of Current Channel. Are you seeing any improvement with this issue?

    If you still see the issue, please put Outlook in Safe Mode and then back in normal mode to force Outlook to pick up the service changes. To put Outlook in Safe Mode, close Outlook. Then hold down the Ctrl key and keep pressed while you start Outlook until you see the Safe Mode prompt. After you start in Safe Mode, exit Outlook and start back in Normal mode and monitor.

    If you are still seeing issues, please let me know what Version and Channel you are on if it is different from Current Channel Version 2209 Build 15629.20156. I pulled the latest build from the Update History page, Update history for Microsoft 365 Apps (listed by date) - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn.

    and I could not find it in my one user who is having the problem as well

    no Action Item in her add-ins
