An error message appears in Ms. Outlook (We cannot render a new actionable message right now)

The original question remains unanswered after many months.

Specifically., what is an actionable message and how can I recognize one? I can't close one if I don't know what one is.

They claim it as a fix as of Jan 5 https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/error-when-opening-actionable-messages-be7b8154-f293-4784-a3d9-08bef7f4c36e

All prior bugs for this issue have been fixed. That said there is still a limit to how many actionable messages you can open before you see this message.

In Current Channel its now 10 actionable messages

In Monthly Enterprise Channel its 5 actionable messages

In SAC and later channels its 5 actionable messages

The limit of 10 will go to MEC soon and progress to SAC shortly thereafter.

In the meantime, if you get that message, close any prior Actionable Messages you have open to avoid seeing the error dialog. Long term Outlook will keep iterating to make the number higher as performance allows e.g. higher than 10.

Hi all, today I got an error message when opening Ms. Outlook with the following error message (We cannot render a new actionable message right now. Please close an existing one in Microsoft Outlook and retry) As for what I have done =

*Update office version

*Re-install O365

but neither of those things solved the problem, really appreciate if anyone in this forum can give more advice.

(no problem sending messages via OWA)

I just received this alert for the first time on January 9th, 2023, was this ever solved by Microsoft?
