An error message appears in Ms. Outlook (We cannot render a new actionable message right now)

There are incremental fixes going out routinely. The Actionable Message limits were moved up to 10 now in all channels except SAC. SAC will go from 5 to 10 in the July 11th major update. If you are on SAC and want to test this change it is available in all channels up to SACP. We are updating this known issue with the big changes as they become available, Error when opening Actionable Messages - Microsoft Support.

The next anticipated change is deleting the WebView if auto invoke returns hideCard in Nudge, Inspector Pane scenario. This is the brief description, but it includes scenarios such as Viva Insights showing AM even if the insight is no longer applicable. This fix is in build 16524.10000 which is currently at CC Preview (16529.20046) and Beta (16529.20000) channels if you wanted to test and see if it helps in your case.

According to your description, the issue of your concern that there's a prompted error displays on your Outlook desktop client.

For narrowing down this issue, please be kindly to check if there's a same issue under the Safe mode - Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC.

If it works well under the safe mode, please give an attempt for Repair an Office application and see if it helps.

In addition, please give it a shot by creating a new profile - Create an Outlook profile and check if it can make any differences.

The described steps didn't help at all. Is there any other fix for this issue? We are using the very latest O365 build in our organization.

Suspending/pausing our AV didn't do anything - the Symantec. AV needed to be updated to v14.3

you're not running Symantec (SEP) 14.0 by any chance? - we'd been having similar problems and finally got the 14.3 update - the file causing the problem was sysfer.dll -

all Outlook/Edge/Chrome/Chromium/ Edge View2/etc./etc. problems have now gone and everything is working fine.

We're experiencing the same issue as KL Chloe. When the user tries to double-click the message it will not open in a new window. The user is forced to just work with the message in the preview pane. If we restart Outlook it will work for about 20-30 seconds and then suddenly the messages will no longer open in a window - preview pane still works. If I uninstall webview2 then everything works fine. I've also noticed that the affected users (8 out of 80) will also periodically get the "cannot render actionable message" error.

I've done all the usual; new profile, disable add-ins, suspend AV, reinstall Office, reinstall webview2, clear OST, make sure Windows 10 is fully updated. We're having the problem with all versions of Office (2016, 2019, 2021 and Office 365). I've opened a service ticket with MS and hopefully some answers will come, but all fingers point to an issue with the webview2 runtime.

Thanks for the information. But we are facing another issue.

The scenario is when the user opens an email from Outlook inbox, seems like no response when double click on the mouse, and no error message prompts. User can open the email when pressing enters on the keyboard. If the user close and re-opens the Outlook application the mouse double click is working on the other email, and when the user clicks on the previous problematic email the email can open too. After this action, when clicking on other emails become cannot open. Any ideas, or advice? Thanks.
