Where can I find the below setting when I'm in the "New Outlook" mode:
If you prefer, you can disable dark mode so that the message window is always white when using the black theme. The icons to switch dark mode on or off are disabled when you disable dark mode.
Thx

When I switched over to the New Outlook, this was the first thing that I noticed. I wanted the Dark Theme but I want the message area to be light. So why would Microsoft remove the option to keep the email message white. From what I can see, this is a popular feature that people want.
You didn't answer his actual question. We want both want the new Outlook to use the Dark Theme, but we ALSO want the message area to NOT use Dark Theme. In the old Outlook, there was an option for "Never change the background color." This did exactly what we want. The new Outlook doesn't seem to have this option.
This is the issue, it's annoying to have to do this one by one for each message. We should be able to to toggle this for all messages.
Can this please be fixed...I will not use New Outlook until it it is!
I'm fixing to uninstall, most publications are still not optimized for a dark-mode message background, although I do like having the rest of the UI in dark mode. But for now it's gotta go... I tried, but it's starting to drive me nuts...
