I like the new look for new outlook, but the problem I am having is that you cannot use drag and drop feature. I don't want to download all the content because I deal with heavy amount of invoices. I hope this is great feedback for Microsoft and get raised attention and get quickly implemented. Hope to get a quick response and help. Thanks for the support!

    Hi.

Yup. Agree with all the users' replies. As if Microsoft focused on the "look" but not the "feel".

    Many productivity features are missing.

    So far what I've encountered:

    • No selectable default download location, and no "Save As..."
    • No resend email option.
    • No "outlook item" (message) attachment.
    • Some Text formatting option are missing.
      • And when applying some it sometimes behaves awkward.
    • The pop-up windows "close" button is off (GUI issue). Sometimes when I try to click on it, I end up pressing whatever is behind it (i.e. closing Outlook).

What I can recall for now...

    Hope they fix these soon.

    Thanks to all.

    Same issue.

I deal with a lot of invoices and documents and like to drag and drop into various applications and folders without downloading the document first. Additionally, I copy and paste email chains in various locations, which is also not working any longer in New Outlook.

Hope this gets fixed soon, since I enjoy using the New Outlook.

How do you open more than one email at a time? Each time I click back on Inbox the original email closes down.

If you double click on a message, it should open a new window, not closing any of the already open, just like before. But now (when replying/forwarding) some messages open as tabs on the reading pane, at the bottom:

    Hope this helps.

The new outlook is just webmail built into an app. There are pros and cons but attachment handling is by far the worst part. Not being able to open attachments in the default app is obnoxious. Dragging and dropping being removed is a nightmare, at best. :(
