Using older versions of Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Thanks I thought I was going crazy! How do I go back to a previous version of Outlook?

I have an issue whereby Outlook for Mac is losing attachments when sending emails (typically, but not exclusively, PDF files).
If a file(s) is/are dragged and dropped into an email it is shown as attached and appears to send as normal. There are no error messages or bouncebacks, and the first we know that the email has lost the attachment is when we are advised by the recipient. Then when checking the sent folder, the email is there but again without the attachments.
Doesn't do this every-time though... sometimes the email goes with the attachments as it normally should.
I'm using version 16.62 (22052500)
Has anybody else had this issue and is there a fix? Or is it a software glitch?

Hi Monica
Next to the search box in top right there should be a toggle labelled 'New Outlook' which will be on. click on that - it will probably go through an install process though and you may have to re-add your account.
Contacted Microsoft through the report an issue link in help and received this response:
Thanks for reporting this issue. Our engineering team is working on the issue, however, I don't have an ETA for when this will be fixed.Kindly continue to keep Outlook up to date as fixes are delivered in the form of updated releases of Outlook.Thank you for your understanding.I'm going to close the ticket now but if you need help again, please use the Help menu --) Contact Support link to ask a question or report an issue.Thank you for contacting Outlook Support.
Monica,
To revert to the "Legacy" version, launch Outlook, click Help > Revert to Legacy Outlook. You'll be greeted with the previous version of Outlook and will need to sign back in to your email accounts as it seems to use a different back-end than New Outlook does. I see many people have reported that this works and I am instructing the 2 people in my office with the issue to do the same.
See below as Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and has no fix as of yet, so this would be the best option until they fix it.
Best of luck!
Yes I'm having the same issue on Outlook 16.63 with my new MacBook Air M1. Very frustrating because my co-workers must think I'm rushing through my email correspondence. I will be switching back to the old look until there's a fix which I honestly can't believe hasn't been addressed by MS. This is a basic function of email productivity.
Ok I'm done complaining, I'll keep checking my updates..
