Outlook 365 for Mac - not sending attachments

I have an issue whereby Outlook for Mac is losing attachments when sending emails (typically, but not exclusively, PDF files).

If a file(s) is/are dragged and dropped into an email it is shown as attached and appears to send as normal. There are no error messages or bouncebacks, and the first we know that the email has lost the attachment is when we are advised by the recipient. Then when checking the sent folder, the email is there but again without the attachments.

Doesn't do this every-time though... sometimes the email goes with the attachments as it normally should.

I'm using version 16.62 (22052500)

Has anybody else had this issue and is there a fix? Or is it a software glitch?

    Hey,

I'm also experiencing the same problem!

When I attach files to my emails, once I send the email, it seems to remove the attachments. This is only happening on desktop, when I send via my phone attachments are fine.

This is a really difficult bug to work with because I'm never sure about what has sent successfully to a client and what has arrived without attachments.

    Can anyone help with this?

    Any suggested fixes?

Several of our Mac users are having the same issue - but not all.

    Hello,

I am having an issue with the Outlook app for Mac.

I am attaching the documents not by dragging, but by selecting the files, which seem to upload. Out of a sudden once sent, the emails I sent appear blank. Why is that happening? I have reviewed my settings, restart the computer, and repair the software and disk, and the issue persists.

    Yep, tag i'm it....

I changed to a new mac and this started happening to me as well. The old mac is fine - so definitely not a subscription problem - or a version of outlook/ or mac os (all the same) .... its some sort of mashup of programs and install order or methods.

I see it mostly PDF files but Word files also happening as well..... but seems to be when i attach OneDrive files - as opposed to files on my local computer... so maybe a problem with onedrive files being added and linked to the sending email from outlook.

As others have mentioned - I can't have this inconsistency when trying to work.. Embarrassing and time wasting..

    Help fix the Microsoft.
