Outlook 365 for Mac - not sending attachments

I have an issue whereby Outlook for Mac is losing attachments when sending emails (typically, but not exclusively, PDF files).

If a file(s) is/are dragged and dropped into an email it is shown as attached and appears to send as normal. There are no error messages or bouncebacks, and the first we know that the email has lost the attachment is when we are advised by the recipient. Then when checking the sent folder, the email is there but again without the attachments.

Doesn't do this every-time though... sometimes the email goes with the attachments as it normally should.

I'm using version 16.62 (22052500)

Has anybody else had this issue and is there a fix? Or is it a software glitch?

I've now received a reply from Microsoft Support finally:

I would like to inform you that we have identified this behavior as a BUG and report is already filed with the product engineering team and the issue is under investigation. I understand the severity of the issue and the requirement for the resolution. Since this needs to be tested and the fix needs to be rolled out, we would not be able to provide an ETA on the fix. Once the fix is rolled out to any BUG filed with the product engineering team, then it'll be released through updates for Outlook. Hence, keep your Outlook updated. You may also refer to the Microsoft blog, where all the updates to the latest features and fixes are announced. Here is the link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/release-notes-office-for-mac andhttps://support.office.com/en-us/article/Fixes-or-workarounds-for-recent-issues-in-Outlook-for-Mac-54afa5e3-db38-422a-9d94-3b55330ded8e/ As a work around you can revert back to legacy Outlook and continue using it until this BUG is resolved in new Outlook. Please follow the steps mentioned below to revert back to classic Outlook.

-Go to menu bar, click on Help. Select 'Revert back to Legacy Outlook' to switch to legacy Outlook.Thank you.

This is completely ridiculous. I have a very time-sensitive situation where I am needing to send documents and cannot.

I did just revert Outlook to Legacy, and it worked. To do this you simply click on the Help menu and select Revert to Legacy Outlook.

    I am on version 16.74.2.

@microsoft Why after this long is this not being addressed? This is happening within our company as well with Mac users. Unacceptable!

I have 2 Macs on my network that are now dealing with this... hopefully there is an update soon. Sending and Receiving attachments is kind of vital to business these days.
