I like to open unread emails in a new window vs the email window. It sometimes works by double clicking but not very often. Is there a trick I'm missing?

Nope, download only
I'm afraid this doesn't work, as that option has been disabled.
In another spectacular triumph for Microsoft I am unable to paste nor insert the screenshot I have taken, but take it from me: those options do not exist.
All I get in Settings > Email > Customise actions is six options, not the long list shown in theory above.
The six options I get are Delete, Archive, Pin, Mark as read or unread, Flag and Move to a Folder.
This really is a total failure. It should be blindingly obvious that there is a need to view a number of emails at once, for instance if you want to refer to the thoughts of a number of people while composing another email. That this has not occurred to MS developers after thirty years of working on Outlook just shows how hopelessly removed they are from the customers who pay their wages.

This is why am sticking with the 'old' Outlook. It makes it unusable for me. My Quick action doesn't show the new window icon as an option either. Will stick with the oldy until it is no longer available and will have to look for another email app solution if this is not ficed.
