I like to open unread emails in a new window vs the email window. It sometimes works by double clicking but not very often. Is there a trick I'm missing?

That is not a solution! It is just extra work!

I want emails to always open in an external window. Just add the setting!

I just hate your recent changes! Outlook has lost ALL appeal that remained.

I'm actively persuading our administration to leave Office already. All your changes are ****.

So, I finally decided to "upgrade" to the New Outlook and this issue hit big time. I love that I can pin my messages to the top but... not being able to open messages in a new window without double-clicking super fast or selecting the checkbox next to the message and hit shift-enter is breaking my workflow.

I also found that I can't open up email messages I have saved out to a folder on my hard drive (to keep related messages with projects that I work on). The New Outlook client says I can't do that.

Now I have to go back to the previous version and lose the ability of pinning messages because of this issue. I hope they fix this issue someday.
