I like to open unread emails in a new window vs the email window. It sometimes works by double clicking but not very often. Is there a trick I'm missing?

If we get enough attention to the matter, maybe Microsoft will do something about it.

Near the top right corner of the Outlook window, there should be a toggle switch to "Try the new Outlook". Yours will be lit up and set to On, Click to turn Off and it will revert back to the old version. You'll get a warning message, but that's okay.

If the new version is what users will have to settle for, Microsoft will be handing clients to Google Workspacer. We now have an entire generation in/entering the workforce who were raised on Chromebooks in school and more native fluency in the collaborative Google ecosystem than the more siloed MS we are used to. With the need for cloud based solutions and remote/hybrid collaboration at an all time high (especially in smaller businesses), Google already has an edge. Microsoft has to do better than this. Full stop.

    Hi VanessaKJS,

Fingers crossed. I would love to see them put out a new version that has good features. But stripping out basic functions that people rely on is not going to win them any fans. I don't have alternate app to run to. I have not looked. There may not be a good alternative.
