How to remove old Outlook after switching to New Outlook

microsoft pushed me to back up and in doing so created some error with the old outlook and now it won't find user profiles - even if I go into registry and show it the correct path. So I gave in and installed the new outlook that comes with ads. But of course, all the linking between programs still goes to classic which doesn't work. What a mess.

I have the same problem, cant uninstall old outlook ,it says an outlook is already running all the time, my wife's iphone wont sync anymore either, She cant open our live.com.au emails anymore either, supprisingly I cant find a solution only forums like these with other people having the same headaches from microsoft

Please help us in isolating the issue by providing the following information:

1. What windows version are running?
2. Have you tried the steps below to remove the old Outlook application:
   • Close all Office applications, including Outlook.
   • Open the Control Panel and select "Programs and Features" or "Add or Remove Programs" depending on your version of Windows.
   • Find Microsoft Office in the list of installed programs and select "Change".
   • In the Office installer window, select "Add or Remove Features" and click "Continue".
   • Expand the "Outlook" section and uncheck the box next to the old version of Outlook.
   • Click "Continue" and follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.

I'm also having the same issue but those steps do not work: in my case, I have the "Microsoft 365 Apps For Enterprise" suite, and when I click on the "Change" button within Windows' Control Panel, I'm given only two options, "Quick Repair" and "Online Repair".

Just as the rest of replies in the thread, all I want is to uninstall the "old" Outlook software, since I already switched to the version shown as "Outlook (New)" and I want to get some free disk space back.

Have you solved the issue? I'm also trying to delete the old version (Enterprice Office) but I haven't find yet the solution..

On the mentioned solution I can only uninstall and repair office without the possibility to "Add or remove features".

Microsoft muffed this big time. I keep trying to switch to new outlook on my VM, and it reverts back to Outlook (classic) in the middle of the day. There is no option to uninstall just the old outlook without uninstalling the entire office suite. Modifying the default apps to outlook(new) does not help. Clicking to 'change' in add/remove features only triggers repair in Windows 11.
