After changing to the New Outlook, my office apps still try to use old outlook application when I try to share a document (File - Share - Email). It opens old outlook but wont send. It just sets in Outbox. I assume some clean up is necessary to remove remanence of old Outlook?

I still can not get rid of the old outlook program. I am using windows 11. I have office 365. I could not expand it only option was to repair. so I repaired it. I have still have both programs on the start menu. outlook and new outlook.

I had already considered this "workaround", but deleting an executable file doesn't means the program gets completely uninstalled: everything else used by the "old" Outlook will still remain in the PC.
While I am sure it may be frowned upon, I was able to at least get it to go away. Search for outlook, click on "Open file location". If Windows 10, highlight > right click > properties > Open file location > right click and delete the application. If Windows 11, highlight > right click > Open file location > right click and delete the application. Then, search for outlook again and try to click on and run the old one, it is going to tell you that the shortcut cannot be found and ask if you want to delete it. Tell it that you do, search again try to run it, and nothing should happen. THEN, if you search again, you should ONLY see the "new" one. As mentioned previously, it isn't an ideal fix, but it should at least keep my users from getting confused when trying to access Outlook/Email.

Please tell us how to remove the (old) Outlook from Windows 11 after upgrading to the (new) Outlook.

Please help us in isolating the issue by providing the following information:
- What windows version are running?
- Have you tried the steps below to remove the old Outlook application:
- Close all Office applications, including Outlook.
- Open the Control Panel and select "Programs and Features" or "Add or Remove Programs" depending on your version of Windows.
- Find Microsoft Office in the list of installed programs and select "Change".
- In the Office installer window, select "Add or Remove Features" and click "Continue".
- Expand the "Outlook" section and uncheck the box next to the old version of Outlook.
- Click "Continue" and follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
I'm also having the same issue but those steps do not work: in my case, I have the "Microsoft 365 Apps For Enterprise" suite, and when I click on the "Change" button within Windows' Control Panel, I'm given only two options, "Quick Repair" and "Online Repair".
Just as the rest of replies in the thread, all I want is to uninstall the "old" Outlook software, since I already switched to the version shown as "Outlook (New)" and I want to get some free disk space back.
