Outlook for macOS: Dropping attachments (randomly)

Hello all,

For some reason, Outlook for Mac is dropping attachments and images in the emails I send. It's random, but it happens to me quite often. I managed to find out that this issue has historically occurred with other people using older versions. It seems that this bug has returned to Outlook for Mac.

I have the latest version 16.75.

macOS is also updated, i.e., macOS Ventura 13.4 (22F66).

I didn't have this problem before. It appeared about a month ago. In the meantime, a new version of macOS has been released and there have been several updates for Outlook, but the situation persists.

Attachment randomly disappears from the e-mail which I send with the attachments and pictures. It looks very unprofessional.

This is example how it looks when I add picture to the e-mail when the message is sent.

If I try it once again on the second attempt the attachments/pictures are sent without issues.

I need help, please.Any advice?

Same here, no more lost attachments. However, tons of other things not fixed…

    • Editing calendar items that are meetings send out the changes but don’t update your own calendar. Have to do all calendar editing in O365, otherwise you look like you don’t know what you are doing
    • Creating new calendar items and setting their category doesn’t stick
    • No distribution lists!!!!

When will we get a working Outlook client?

It's been a month or so and haven't lost an attachment, Yay. Not sure what changed, but appears to be working as intended.

However, I will not update the Macbook software in fear that it will start dropping attachments all over again.

I've been using the old Outlook for Mac for the past few months because of this problem (it doesn't suffer from this problem), but I'd like to go back to the new one some day. Until Microsoft confirms its fixed though, I'm reluctant to suffer the humiliation of looking like a moron to my customers, as Ross mentioned.

    Microsoft this is a joke.

I am using this to communicate to my customers and suppliers who must think I am a moron.

The attachment is there in the email, but when I hit send it is removed!

We are all paying you plenty of money for software where a basic function is broken!!!!!!!
