Outlook for macOS: Dropping attachments (randomly)

Hello all,

For some reason, Outlook for Mac is dropping attachments and images in the emails I send. It's random, but it happens to me quite often. I managed to find out that this issue has historically occurred with other people using older versions. It seems that this bug has returned to Outlook for Mac.

I have the latest version 16.75.

macOS is also updated, i.e., macOS Ventura 13.4 (22F66).

I didn't have this problem before. It appeared about a month ago. In the meantime, a new version of macOS has been released and there have been several updates for Outlook, but the situation persists.

Attachment randomly disappears from the e-mail which I send with the attachments and pictures. It looks very unprofessional.

This is example how it looks when I add picture to the e-mail when the message is sent.

If I try it once again on the second attempt the attachments/pictures are sent without issues.

I need help, please.Any advice?

    Hi all,

I am having the exact same issue, Outlook for Mac randomly dropping images/attachments. In a couple of chat conversations with the MS crew, they indicated this is a known issue and that the development team is working on an analysis and subsequent fix.

I was running 16.74 when the issue popped up, and it indeed has not been fixed in the recent version 16.75 or 16.74.2 (Build 23062500).

I was referred to the following page to keep track of updates and their fixes:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/release-notes-office-for-mac#june-27-2023

    And for Beta channel: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/outlook-for-mac-release-notes-for-beta-channel-builds-d6347358-5613-433e-a49e-a9a0e8e0462a

A workaround for me that works is switching back to Legacy Outlook (instead of 'New Outlook). This enables me to send emails with functional images and attachments.

I truly hope this gets fixed soon, as it is totally unprofessional to send emails out to people only for recipients to have to report to you that contents are failing..

I also have this issue on 16.74 as well as 16.75 - its embarrassing that my client keeps dropping attachments.

Can we please have an update?

Thank you! I too am having this issue and switched back to Legacy Outlook. This seems to have fixed the attachment issue. I hope this is resolved soon because I had just gotten used to the new Outlook.
