"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

Thanks

CM

    Hi

For me it is now possible to pin a shared mailbox. It is showing content from some random folders in the mailbox.

    Absolutely useless.

It sounds like you are just doing something that was always available.

I believe you have just pinned emails sent to that address, as opposed to a folder from the Shared Mailbox.

Yeah, it seems like fake news that it is being rolled out.

You are on a newer version than me. I am on 1.2025.219.400 (Production).

I am a Windows Insider, and an Office Insider, but there appears to be no way to sample Insider builds of the new Outlook.

There was a site linked above in this thread showing the roll out progress. I'm not convinced it's a specific version of the app (which I think is bizarre in and of itself) but the link does show that roll out is still in progress.

My guess is it's out there for some people and we will all get it in the next while.
