"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

Thanks

CM

Ok, great, so once again it's supposedly rolling out in preview as of January 2025. Does anyone know how we'll know if the feature has actually rolled out to us? Where (if anywhere) is a description of the feature, how it will work, how to access it, so that we can check for ourselves? There are some very old posts about this and how it would work (which seem mostly suspect at this point).

Easy, will just be able to add a shared mailbox to your Favourites in the new Outlook app.

I'll assume that was a sarcastic reply, because it did make me chuckle. πŸ˜„
