"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

    WOW more than 1 year and it is still not fixed. Why can't Microsoft just design "new" apps better?!?! Every single day I have to expand the shared mailbox as I can't even see the Inbox and if there is a new email. That's another issue but if we could add folders under shared mailboxes to our favourites it wouldn't be as much of an issue.

    It has been pushed to January 2025, now 🤦🏽‍♂️🙈

    If it helps any others who do not have too many Shared Mailboxes to manage, for now, I have started having multiple instances of [New] Outlook open, so that I can easily check on the Shared Mailboxes I monitor.

    For those unsure, you can open multiple instances by middle button clicking on Outlook on the taskbar.

    hopefully, this helps some others 'til they sort their lives out.

    Shared Mailboxes can be added as Accounts in the new Outlook for Windows. The Shared Mailbox will appear at the Account Level in the Folder list.     Does this mean the credentials of the shared mailbox? If so, this is completely unworkable.

    Signing into the shared mailbox with credentials specific to that account / mailbox - if that's what is meant. It isn't well worded, but if it simply meant that credentials are needed in order to sign into the primary account before seeing the shared mailbox, that doesn't need stating as it's obvious.
