"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

    Adding my two cents to this thread and following it as well. This is such a basic function that "old" Outlook has had for years. How does Microsoft not think, "You know, I wonder if anyone needs to manage and see more than one inbox at a time that they are members of?"

    Either way, scrolling down to all 5 of my shared mailboxes, just to see the inbox, is archaic. I am not a programmer but looking at some of these threads, this is a BASIC function and a huge feature to not include. Thousands of people need quick access to multiple shared mailboxes and seamlessly navigate between them all.

    Please fix this.

    This is one of the features that is holding me back. The interface looks good, but I will need to manage 2 shared inboxed and the fact that you can't edit the favourites is not boding well for the Web client approach.

    They could have given pined folders, as I have a lot of folders that I probably should simplify. I suppose this will cover the users that don't use more than one email and are not a heavy user. But outlook should have some power user features.

    Oh, wow. July 🤦🏽‍♂️😿. So, another 6 months of extremely poor productivity!

    Extremely frustrating.

    I have had to set up a rule from some of my critical Shared Mailboxes, to forward emails to my primary account. This ensures that I do not miss emails.

    Sadly, that would contribute to the massive number of emails I don't want to respond to. It was in a SHARED mailbox because multiple people monitor that account so that I don't have to deal with it.

    Are we back to the "good old days" when Microsoft had two Dev teams? One wrote good operating systems and software and the other wrote Windows ME.

    Agreed. I do not wish to have all of these emails in my Inbox, it is a poor workaround I have had to implement to merely have visibility of new emails in that Shared Mailbox.

    It is utterly ridiculous that this still has not bene implemented, and likely hundreds of thousands of Microsoft resellers will be preventing their customers from using this Outlook 'til it is resolved.
