"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

Thanks

CM

Microsoft please fix this issue asap...

The "New" Outlook looks pretty neat, but missing the functionality to add folders of shared mailboxes to my favorites is 100% a deal breaker. Not only for me, I'm 100% sure that over 50% of my customers use the favorites, not only to switch fast between shared mailboxes, but to have an overview of the unread messages of the important folders.

I have over 10 shared mailboxes I have to look in, I'm using my favorites over 80% of the time, not having this feature will hit my productivity hard...

Until this is fixed I'll refuse to move to the "New" Outlook

I have the same issue as this and the speed of Microsoft to develop this is frustrating.

    Dear Microsoft,

Same problem running several Microsoft Account and multiple E-Mail Account behind this.

Some are shared and some are not, the once that are not dshared can be added to favorites no issue.

The Shared inboxes cannot be added to the favorites list anymore, this is rather impossible to work with.

Please advise soonest when a this is patched up and folders from shared Mailboxes can be added to favorites again.

Doesn't seem to hard to achive.

    Kind Regards,

    Marcus BdR.

This seems to be a major oversight. MSFT spent years convincing people to pin things to favorites because they didn't want to redesign the interface. Now that they have redesigned, well rewrote, the interface, they eliminated this functionality. Most people I know have to handle multiple mailboxes. It's not just a small # of people.

Okay, I think I have found something in another post. See here:

How do I add shared/user mailboxes after the latest preview update? - Microsoft Community

I can see the shared mailboxes - already there without me having to add.

Lifting them up into favourites seems a journey also, and I wonder if an update has come through or we are experiencing different previews. However, when you expand the favourites list, you will find, 'add favorite' link at the bottom. Clicking on this and entering the shared mailbox name you can insert the inbox for the shared box.

I have mixed results with this. A couple mailboxes will do the right thing while I have one that isn't providing unread and latest emails (even though I can see it below in the, 'shared with me' list).

    progress...
