"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

    I have found a solution to this issue here--> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-favorites-in-outlook-8913f2d0-b167-48cc-8983-86fa9b0d945f  I can verify that this works and allows you to add a shared mailbox to your favorites list, It will not show as <sharedmailbox> inbox. I was able to add 4 shared mailboxes with this process

    Still cant believe this function has not been corrected by Microsoft. As a Sr Director of IT I too manage and over see many shared mailboxes and the New Outlook prevents me from seeing all mailboxes in the Favorites folder.

    Agreed this is typical Microsoft behaviour...I contacted support directly via the new Outlook app and they said they are currently working on fixing it but could not give any rough timeframe as usual.

    Wow!!! Almost 18 months since this thread started and this basic functionality has still not been addressed. As previous users have said this single item alone restricts me moving to the new version as it is making my workflow harder than it needs to be.

    Typical for MSFT, unfortunately. What are we gonna do? Train 300+ employees to use Libreoffice and Ubuntu?
