Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
This 1 feature alone is stopping me from moving from the OLD Outlook to the New Outlook, hope its not too much longer.

Hi,
I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.
When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.
Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?
Thanks
CM

For me it only moved deleted items so it was not useful at all...I mentioned in a previous comment that I contacted support directly via the Windows Outlook app and they advised it is the backlog to be fixed ASAP. Knowing Microsoft it could be 2026 or 2099.
This doesn't resolve the issue. It only moves the entire mailbox higher up to the favorites area, but you see all emails and it's a mess. you lose the folder structure, you can't simply promote one folder in the mailbox to Favorites. For example if I have access to the emailbox ******@mycompany.com, and there is a folder created there for a specific topic, let's call it "product_complaints", I can't only have the Product Complaints folder of the Support email account tagged as a Favorite in my own email account, even though the account and folders are shared with me, I can't select and promote exactly which subfolder I want to see. I can only promote the whole account but then lose all the subfolder structure. It doesn't help resolve the issue at all.
It is very strange, does not show any of my Inbox emails but only deleted or moved items. I cleared the Deleted Items folder and nothing changed.
You can use this add a full shared mailbox, but not a particular folder (such as inbox) of that shared mailbox. So, e.g. All deleted items that are still in the mailbox will show under the favorite.
