"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

Thanks

CM

Yes, I also use my Inbox and have 3 other Inbox from Shared Folders, which are very important to me to have them focused on Favorites.

And without this feature I can't move to New Outlook :(

I have the same issue as this and the speed of Microsoft to develop this is frustrating.

    Hi Microsoft,

I would like the Shared Mailboxes to be able to be added to my favourites, and removed from favourites, at will in the new Outlook desktop app.

I currently have access to my own email and 5 shared mailboxes through my work. Depending whose role I am assisting at any given time, will affect which inbox/es I need to be able to monitor and access quickly from my favourites at any given moment.

Please add the favouriting to the new Outlook desktop so that I can continue to work as I do now - efficiently!

    Thank you!

Adding a mailbox to a favourite in that way seems to be a filter for emails that YOU received from that mailbox. It's pretty useless.

I also desperately need to see the INBOX at least of several shared mailboxes.

I'm really surprised at the response to my simple ask. It's nice to see others have similar workflows and concerns about changes. I know this is WAY late but attached is an image how my "Favorites" area currently looks on my side bar with the 3 inboxes I can manage [1 is my main account, and 2 of them are shared with me from my IT department]. This is effectively what I would like to be able to do with the new version of Outlook. It's honestly the single thing keeping me from switching. That inability to drag/drop my favorites into a single spot for easy access.
