New Outlook won't open .pst files

The new version of Outlook for Windows (Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.425.600 - Production) no longer allows me to open my old .pst archive files.
All documentation refers to a File menu that this version does not have at all.

2023-08-07T19:51:07+00:00 Actually, I was FORCED to go to the new Outlook today ("You must upgrade to the newest version of Outlook in order to continue") and I can't revert back now.
And I can't open 10 years of .pst files now.
Wonderful. No damned warning, either.

Why to buy additional cloud storage and keep them all online forever for a monthly fee of course!

110% agree. I can't believe I invested valuable, unrecoverable time, configuring new "Outlook", just to find out that I'll need to find a replacement since Microsoft killed PST's.
Probably a snowflake got burned by an archive and convinced the oldsters that " Users can't be allowed to control their digital data. We do that! ".
Not surprised but my backup oriented soul would be damned if I were to accept this. Shame Microsoft. Shame.
(Edit) - Having vented my frustration before running the rabbit across the line; 8/25/23 I've found that this has been resolved.
