The new version of Outlook for Windows (Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.425.600 - Production) no longer allows me to open my old .pst archive files.

All documentation refers to a File menu that this version does not have at all.

Don't you have the option to revert to the old version?

This is horrible! I was trying everything to make it happen. Reading this trail made me think of emails that I copied into Explore folders to preserve them in an appropriate place. Guess what? It doesn't support opening a single email that isn't stored in Microsoft's cloud! Year and years of lost vital information!

Problem solved: I reverted to the old version of Outlook when I saw that there was a switch to go back!

I'm so happy and relieved... for the time being, until the day Microsoft gives us no choice to change.

Apart from the .pst file issue, there were 4 or 5 other dissatisfactions with the new version that I reported, little features I was used to that made my life easier and that had disappeared, like not being able to select / copy attachments and paste on my PC! And other obsolete features that requirered more clicks to do the same thing as before.

I have the same problem. Not only that, A couple of weeks ago I spent almost all day on the phone with a Miscrosoft employee getting him to try to upload my old pst file into Outlook. He didn't even know the service was no longer available! To give him his due he spent a long time on it, took over my computer, tried really hard and nothing worked. Now we know why. Microsoft is a joke. Not fit for purpose.

The new OUTLOOK from 365 does not support PST files. All my old emails are in these files as the old OUTLOOK does support them.
    We lost a mayor feature!
