New Outlook won't open .pst files

The new version of Outlook for Windows (Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.425.600 - Production) no longer allows me to open my old .pst archive files.

All documentation refers to a File menu that this version does not have at all.

Meanwhile if you run a content search on Purview the only supported export is PST and new Outlook doesn't support PST files. What an utter joke.

I have the original Outlook 2007 (.exe), but when I run it I get "Your MS Exchange admin has blocked the version you are using"

I guess that's me, but I don't know what to do.

Alternatively -- Has anyone had luck with Thunderbird? I hear it can read .pst files.

Ah - so this is like Christmas or jam - always 'tomorrow'... ;)

Don't know if this helped but I pretty much fell over the original Outlook.exe file in programs (x86) and started using that again... and 'new' Outlook can go for a l-o-n-g walk... off a short pier!
